PRODUCTION

Our seeds are popularly known as "Sima Seeds" among the farmers.  We produce certified seeds (Foundation and certified classes) in cotton varieties and hybrids of public domain.  Also produce and supply our own R & D evolved varieties and hybrids.   Our productions are in farmers' holdings properly monitored by our field staff located in our five Project areas.  We purchase seed cotton of good quality with premium price over the prevailing market price and the produces are transported to the R & D Farm, Ponneri where the ginning and processing facilities are available.

PROCESSING

Seed processing is an essential aspect of seed production. The best of processing machinery and equipments are installed in our R & D Farm, Ponneri, near Udumalpet to process the cotton seeds.  The processing personnel are well trained to produce uniform quality.  The seed cotton procured from the seed farm farmers of our project area are transported to the Processing centre located in our R & D Farm, Ponneri.  Pre cleaning, ginning, seed processing such as acid delinting, cleaning by needle sorter, hand cleaning, packing and certification are carried out before effecting distribution.
